The disciplinary hearing was very daunting.
I was on my own in a big room in front of a panel of men and women
asking me all sorts of questions. There was someone writing notes on a pad as well.
After I had given my account of what had happened with the choking boy, there was a long silence.
"Are you a religious man?" one man asked.
"I don't know, really," I answered, "I've never really thought about it."
"What about your views on immigration?" asked another.
"It's a lovely place to live," I replied, "apart from the weather of course."
"Are you sexually active?" a woman asked.
I had to think about that one.
"Does wanking count?" I asked.
