Disturbing
"What I find disturbing," Julia was saying, "is not that you
engage in that
sort of activity - what you do in your own time is your own business- but the
fact that you could sink so low as to use the disability of another to justify it.
And a fictional other at that."
"But he was there," I protested.
"Why didn't I see him, then?" she asked.
"Maybe he was too small?" I suggested.
"I think you're displaying pathological behaviour," she said, "its almost as
if you have become so debased that you're literally addicted to the
objectification of women. This fictional dwarf story is a classic denial-
construct designed to protect your phallocentric obsession. You see
women as mere ornaments for you to admire and possess and this
mindset is intensely destructive."
I heard what she was saying, but I was having trouble following it. Her pretty
face was just so distracting.
