Dreams

I have always been curious about dreams.
I've often wondered whether they could be coded premonitions of the future or messages from deep within our subconscious minds, and that if we could unravel their meaning, perhaps we could gain a greater understanding of our lives.
I had a very interesting dream the other night, for example.
I dreamt that I was in a rowing bout, drifting across a huge lake. All of a sudden, dolphins started jumping out of the water and splashing me. They all had human faces, ones that I recognised from my life - there was Susan, my ex-wife; Ted, her lover; Roger; the teachers from school; the big-bummed stary woman; my mother; and lots of people that I'd seen on the telly - and they were all laughing at me and saying I was the Mongo Man. Then I looked down and saw that I was only wearing one sock.
I told Roger about this the next day and asked him what he thought it could mean.
"Haven't got a fucking clue," he muttered, "but the fact that you're telling it all to me means you're an absolute twat."
I expect he had other things on his mind.
